When is an early termination fee applied?

Consumer Loan: An early termination fee is incurred in the event that your loan is finalised at any point prior to maturity. This fee is not payable if the loan is paid out in the last two months of your loan term.
12-60 Month Loan Term – The fee is $850.00 if paid out within the first 12 months of signing the loan contract which then reduces evenly over the term of the loan each month down to a minimum fee of $200.00
60+ Month Loan Term – The fee is $850.00 if paid out within the first 24 month of signing the loan contract which then reduces evenly over the term of the loan each month down to a minimum fee of $200.00
Commercial Loan: An early termination fee is not payable however as interest is predetermined and added at the beginning of your loan term, a portion of the interest is payable. If the loan is terminated prior to maturity an interest rebate is applied which means a portion of the interest is discounted at a discount margin determined by Volkswagen Financial Services Australia.
How can I apply for Financial Hardship?

How do I complete an open Financial Hardship application?
If you have initiated an application for Financial Assistance which is pending completion, you can resume your application by following the link to login and Resume your Application.
Please remember to use your email address and mobile phone number provided when you applied for hardship to obtain your one time password and login to complete your application.

Can I obtain a pre-approval for finance?
Unfortunately Volkswagen Financial Services Australia (VWFSA) does not offer a pre-approval and each application will need to be assessed on a case–by-case basis. Credit lending guidelines will apply. Please refer to your local VWFSA authorised dealership in order to assist you further.
What are the current interest rates on offer?
Our customers are provided a personalised interest rate when applying for finance. Your interest rate will be calculated based on your credit score and other personal criteria determined by us. This means that an interest rate is based on your individual circumstances.
Does Volkswagen Financial Services Australia offer finance for non-Volkswagen vehicles?
Yes, Volkswagen Financial Services Australia can assist you in the purchase of vehicles other than a Volkswagen or our supported brands purchased from a licensed dealership. We do not finance private sales.

Can I take over someone else's Volkswagen Financial Services Australia finance contract on a vehicle?
Unfortunately we do not offer a transfer of finance and are not able to take over a loan on a vehicle that is financed with us or any other financier. When purchasing a vehicle in a private sale, you must ensure the loan on the vehicle is paid out in its entirety before the vehicle can be financed with another financier under a personal loan.
Can I purchase a vehicle from someone else that is encumbered by Volkswagen Financial Services Australia?
Volkswagen Financial Services Australia will hold interest on a vehicle financed with us, until the loan contract has been paid out in full and the final payment has cleared. You will need to negotiate with the owner in order to ensure that the finance is paid out before the vehicle can be transferred to your name. Volkswagen Financial Services Australia will retain interest in the vehicle for 7 days after the finance is finalised.
How can I make a complaint to Volkswagen Financial Services Australia?
Volkswagen Financial Services Australia prides ourselves on providing an excellent customer experience to our consumers. If there is something that you aren’t happy with, please contact us using the details below in order to assist you further.
Email us the details of your complaint to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will aim to respond to your complaint within 7 business days. Your complaint will then be escalated and investigated and a resolution will then be provided to you.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint within the above timeframe or you are unsatisfied with the response you may contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) and request further investigation of your complaint. In order to meet AFCA’s timeframes, you must refer your complaint back to AFCA within two years of our response.

Can I change my payment frequency?
At Volkswagen Financial Services Australia, we have customers who make their payments on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. You can request to change your payment frequency by contacting our customer service team who can assist you. You can also request to have a different direct debit payment date. Again, our customer service team can give you more information and assist you with these options.
Can I access my account online?
You can manage your vehicle finance using our online finance platform – myFinance Portal.
It only takes a few minutes to sign up. Once you’ve registered, login using your email address as your username.
What can I do on myFinance Portal?
Enjoy the flexibility of managing your vehicle finance, from one convenient place online. Some of the features you can expect to see:

- View your vehicle and loan details
- Change your direct debit details

How do I make extra repayments towards my loan?
You can make extra repayments through online transfer, BPAY or branch deposit. Please be advised a $4.50 non-direct debit fee is payable for the above options. To be provided with the transfer or BPAY details please send us an enquiry or email email@example.com
Can I sell my car whilst it is under finance?
Volkswagen Financial Services Australia holds security over all vehicles financed with us. You may negotiate with a purchaser to sell your car, however you are obligated to pay your loan in full upon the sale of your financed vehicle.
You can obtain a final payout quote and details on how to pay by submitting an online enquiry, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning 1300 734 567. We are unable to confirm this amount to the purchaser due to privacy, so simply pass them a copy of the Payout letter that you can request from our office.
Once my loan is finalised, when is the PPSR removed?
The PPSR/Financial interest will be removed exactly 7 days after we receive the full payout amount to finalise your loan. This is to allow time for the payment to clear.
Can I change my payment amount?
Provided your payments are not less than the minimum monthly repayment, you can change the amount. You can also choose to make your payments weekly or fortnightly. Please submit an online enquiry or email email@example.com and we will be happy to help you update your payment amount.
How can I obtain a copy of my loan statement?
Can I arrange my statement to be sent to me automatically?
Unfortunately statements are not sent automatically. Every customer is entitled to one statement free of charge every 12 months upon request. Any additional statement within a 12 month period does incur a $20 document fee as outlined in your loan contract.
How can I authorise a third party to have access to my Volkswagen Financial Services Australia account?
You may authorise a person, over 18 years of age, to obtain information about your loan account. To authorise a third party please complete, sign and return the third party authority form to firstname.lastname@example.org. To complete the third party authority form, please click here.
Please allow two working days to update your account. Please note that this authority will enable a third party access to information and make changes to your payments or direct debit.

Can I transfer my finance to another person?
Volkswagen Financial Services Australia are unable to offer a transfer of finance. If you are considering changing the vehicles ownership to another party, the loan will need to be paid out in full.
